Halloween decorations
Step One - Clean the pumpkins and spray paint them in color of choice.

Orange Turkey with Rice and Green Vegetables
Great dinner with some added vitamin C.
Ingredients
- 1 pound skinless lean turkey fillet
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 medium onion
- 1 ¼ unsweetened orange juice
- 1 bay leaf
- 8 oz small broccoli florets
- 1 large zucchini
- 1 large orange
- 1 oz pitted black olives
- Salt and pepper
- 6 cups cooked brown rice
Directions
- Cook the rice according to the packaging.
- Chop the onion.
- Cut the turkey into thin strips.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet and fry the onion and turkey, stirring, for about 4-5 minutes, until lightly browned.
- Add the orange juice and the bay leaf and seasoning. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.
- Meanwhile, bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the broccoli, covered, for 2 minutes. Add the diced zucchini, bring to a boil, cover and cook for 3 minutes (be careful not to overcook the vegetables). Drain and set aside.
- Peel the orange (make sure to remove all the white pith as well). Slice the orange into thin wedges and then cut each slice in half.
- Stir the broccoli, zucchini, cooked rice and orange slices into the turkey mixture. Gently mix together and heat through for a couple of minutes until hot.
- Transfer the turkey rice to a serving plate and garnish with the black olives

Cranberry Energizer
Perfect pick-me-up smoothie for a fall day like this. Have a great day!
Serves 2
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cups cranberry juice
- ½ cup orange juice
- 1 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
Directions
- Pour the cranberry and orange juice into a blender and mix gently.
- Add the raspberries and lemon juice. Process until smooth.
- Pour into glasses and serve immediately.
Enjoy!

Tools for losing weight
Hope you had a great weekend!
Losing weight can be easy if you have some good tricks in
your back pocket. Like these:
- Decide what your goal is.
- If you have a bad day – don’t give up. Take back control right away!
- Take only one serving and stick to it. No seconds!
- Use a measuring tape to track your progress, not a scale.
- Plan each meal ahead.
- Always have healthy snacks in your bag (nuts, apple etc).
- Make it a daily challenge to add an unexpected activity (take the stairs, park far away, take an evening walk etc)
- Put yourself first and dare to say no if someone offers you food you don’t want to eat.
- Enjoy being in control of your life and your choices.
- Smile, be proud to be in control. Be sure of that you are going to make goal and look forward!
